  1   Ministry of Interior of Pakistan issues exit permits to foreigners who have overstayed in Pakistan after expiry of their visas. Exit permits through Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS) are issued to the foreigners who have overstayed up to one year and manual exit permits are issued to the foreigners who have overstayed beyond one year, on payment of penalty. 2   Recently, Pakistan has announced general amnesty for overstaying foreigners to exit Pakistan without paying overstays charges with a cut-off date of 31st December 2022. 3   Overstaying Foreigners shall apply for exit permit on POVS and can leave Pakistan after obtaining the exit permit. 4   However, Indian and Somalia nationals, who overstayed, shall apply for exit permit manually in concerned Section of Ministry of Interior, Islamabad, Pakistan . 5   No legal action will be taken against the foreigners who will avail this amnesty scheme . 6   As per foreigners Act 1946, three-year sentence can be awarded t

  Presently, Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS) does not accept Alien’s Passport (Framlingspass) and Travel Document (Resedokument) issued to asylum seekers. Travel Document is issued to asylum seekers under the United Nation Convention of 28 July, 1951. Similarly, Alien Passport is issued to those who cannot get the passport from their own country due to asylum or any other reason. In Sweden and Finland, Travel Document and Alien’s Passport are called Resedokument and Framlingspass respectively. Even if a person is Pakistani national and holds Travel Document or Alien Passport, still he/she cannot apply for Pakistan online visa. Similarly, if one of the spouses is Pakistani national and another holds Travel Document, still Pakistan Online Visa System does not allow the travel document holder to apply for E-visa. Thus any person holds Travel document or Alien Passport should not apply for Pakistan online visa. Exception: There is only one exemption, if a person holds Alien

  Yes, you can apply for Pakistan online visa on Emergency Passport (which is also called temporary or provisional Passport) of Sweden / Finland or any other country if it is valid for minimum six months. Keep in mind that Emergency Passport is issued to the national of that country.   However, if the emergency or normal passport is valid less than 6 months then you cannot apply for Pakistan online visa /e-visa on Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS).   Although, if a person has normal passport which is valid less than six months cannot apply for Pakistan online visa, yet that person can travel to Pakistan if he is holding valid NICOP or POC . However, he should come back to the country of his nationality within the period of validity of his passport. Explanation:   If a person holding a Swedish Passport which is valid only for 4 months and he holds a valid Pakistani NICOP, he can still go to Pakistan with lesser validity.
