Introduction of online Digital Bank account for overseas and non-resident Pakistanis which is called “Roshan Digital Account”. Pakistan has entered into the new era of digitizing the banking systems for non-resident overseas Pakistanis and took the banking system right to their doorstep around the world. The State Bank of Pakistan in collaboration with the commercial banks operating in Pakistan has launched a new initiative “Roshan Digital Account” whereby non-resident Pakistanis / overseas Pakistanis all over the world are being provided an opportunity to remotely open an account in Pakistan through digital and online process without any need to visit in person a bank branch. This process would require only a basic set of information and documents. The banks will complete the necessary procedure in this regard within 48 hours.
